Training and Experience
Bridget completed her medical training at The University of Melbourne and undertook her specialist anaesthesia training primarily through the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She completed sub-speciality fellowship training in obstetric anaesthesia at The Royal Women’s Hospital and advanced airway management at the Austin Hospital. She currently holds public appointments as a specialist anaesthetist at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and The Royal Women’s Hospital.
Bridget has clinical interests in obstetric anaesthesia and advanced airway management and is experienced in anaesthesia across a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopaedic, general, gynaecological and urological surgery.
She takes a calm and caring approach to her work, with a focus on ensuring patients feel safe, informed and comfortable throughout their perioperative journey. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and tailor their anaesthetic care to their individual needs, while working closely with surgeons and the broader team to provide safe, patient-centred care.
Outside of work, Bridget keeps active by playing basketball, skiing and competing in triathlons, and is also a keen follower of AFL and Formula 1. She enjoys spending time with family and her black Labrador, Walter.
